What the Hell is Reality?

Outside of life and death there are fine lines between what is reality and what is not. I proffer that the majority of reality remains unseen by human eyes. In fact, what we call, ” real,” is subject to the individual. No, this isn’t Zen thinking, this is bible thinking. We have no conception of what, or where, Heaven is. It is much easier for many to disbelieve in Heaven than to figure out if it is actually real. Again, we cannot see Heaven from my house but we understand that there is much more to this universe than we are capable of understanding, We do not speak of parsecs or light years as being part of what we can visualize. We have no “real” idea of where the universe begins or ends or, if there are many universes.

It kind of boggles the mind how much we do not know and, therefore, have no idea exists. Science falls flat but science fiction writer’s have free reign for guessing. At times, the two mesh unexpectedly as happened with H.G. Wells and other authors once science was able to pull back the curtains concerning many ideas of the writers.

Then we have the bible don’t we? A book that so many disbelieve that it boggles the mind all over again. Heaven, Father, Son, Angels, Infinity, Eternity. For many this might as well be science fiction. It isn’t because we have seen the results of the Father and the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. A promise from the old and new testament fulfilled. Odd, that book.

The bible speaks to mankind and of our planet only. It is pin point directed at how we live our lives with the promise of eternity if we live our lives correctly. Strictly H.G. Wells stuff, right? No, it is truth and truth is what we know far less of than we think we know and we are earthbound so what we know is relative only to this planet.

God knew this so He kept the bible as simple as possible so that all could understand it that had good hearts. He says this specifically. Detractors can have their say but those with good hearts read those words with love and knowledge of what is and what is not true. Reality and truth harmonize quite nicely; in fact it is almost like a choir singing. Yet, scoffs and doubts run the gamut of this world. Scoffs are amplified while the humble read and understand what is coming, what has been, and what is important, other than what we do for our living.

In all, it is quite amazing to not understand truth when we believe politicians, the news, our friends and none of what is said carries an ounce of weight on our eternity. It is human nature though, isn’t it? Wrong headed human nature.
