SOB

I’ve been called this a time or two, an SOB. These three letters were not what I was thinking when I invented, Son of Blog. However, I saw the irony of it immediately and I do love irony. I went with it and decided to use it as another meaning for those initials, but meant something else. It has a possible separate meaning also, Son of Bible so you can’t say that I missed my intended purpose by too much. Of course, I am not the Son of Bible as you no doubt understand. Student of Bible also fits nicely but you can use the letters any way you would care to.

The bible is a book that is probably the oldest of mankind’s encyclopedias. Written since day one, some of it set in stone, and all of it suitable for polite conversation. It also can lead the willing to eternity which is a thing no other book has the ability to do. There are lots of books aren’t there, but the oldest and most realistic is the bible. No fiction involved in its writing and the sooner a person understands the sooner the bible will begin to work for them.

With that said, these are God’s words but written down by selected men way back in time. God selected who would write this as only He can. To infer that the bible is fiction is to be ignorant of the fact that these are God’s words. We hear on TV shows that so much of what the bible says is an impossibility. No, science just can’t figure out how God works and critics miss the point of His words and context. The parting of the Red Sea by Moses was with the power given Moses by God. If you don’t understand this you should read more than one story in that book. Science spends its skills and lives of the scientists doing no more than trying to understand how God made all things.

It really is simple enough for the poorly educated, or the “geniuses” who refuse it, to glean hope from it. It takes time to understand how God made this happen. Mankind will never fully understand how God works or whether this is one universe or many. God told us what we need to know only here on Earth. It was focused with intent on mankind and whether there is life elsewhere is for God to know. We have enough on our plates just trying to survive. I write this so that you can quickly put your finger on the detractors and their ignorance of the truth. Truth rests wholly with God. Mankind does a poor job with truth, as you may have noticed.
