The Internet
Jesus said to be no part of the world in Matthew 24 of the New Testament. As with all quotes from the bible I feel that they are somewhat to be interpreted. Depending on the religious sect, there are different definitions for a quote such as I mentioned in the first sentence. For me, this has always been the problem with choosing a religious sect to be a part of. I want you to understand that I am speaking, now, for myself only and not disparaging any religious organizatuon.
I was baptized as an infant into the Catholic church. I left that church after starting to read the bible, which was around the age of twelve to fifteen. I was completely taken by the word of God in a way that shut a lot of religious organizations away from me. I began looking for the right Christian religion and never was satisfied that I’d found one. To this day I am on my own, or am I?
Though some may consider this a reach, I wonder if those who follow the bible are a congregation unto themselves. As God knows and sees all could it be that it is from above that I have never joined some church or other? Well, I can muse all I want but that somehow makes sense to me. Churches are wonderful until they start calling other churches wrong. From Jehovah’s Witnesses to Synagogues to Catholics to Baptists each calls the other incorrect in one way or another. For the average believer this is a conundrum of the highest order.
Which church should I join? I’ve prayed over this for quite a long time with no answer. Following the bible is not easy but it contains the answers I seek if I can but ferret them out. This is why I study and write of the bible. This is also why I am on the internet describing the bible. It is God’s word and that should be who has the final say in all matters. At least, this is how I look at it.
