Settling In

God. To some a foreign name, noun, concept. Why is this? The reasons that so many fail to understand that what we have and use each day is provided us. Our brains are designed to be able to perform those acts which are innate only to human beings. We are separate and above all other species here on this planet. We don’t always act as if we are above and this has a cause which is separate from that which I will write of this day. Always, there are positive and negative forces, be that in electrons, molecules, animals, or human beings.

Once an understanding that we are not alone in all this we need to understand why all is what all is. To understand that we were “made” to worship and glorify our Father in Heaven by His hands. We are not an accident of universal proportion, we were planned, shaped, and given the ability, above all the other life, to understand this. To know that there is more to life than food, water and procreation of species. We did not, “evolve,” but were created as we are and also above all other life. We alone have the innate concept that there is more to being alive than fighting over territory, killing one another or raping and pillaging our way through life. The word, Peace, is given only to us. All other life is born, lives, and dies knowing nothing about God.

This is the point of demarcation of which we are aware but have difficulty understanding. This is why, in large part, we were given the bible. Not just to have laws to comport ourselves by but to have the keen understanding that we are not alone in our journey and have a one to go to when times are difficult or our time is ending.

I suggest that each of us take the time to understand our purpose or at least strive to better our relationship with God. In these times God has been relegated to the meaningless or superstitious. He is more real than you or I as He is the Father of our universe and creator of same. I write this to give you pause if you are one who has been fooled into thinking God a myth. He is at your side even now. All you need to do is reach out to Him. For many now, reaching out seems ludicrous. It certainly is not! If you are empty and despairing, reach out. If you are lost, you will be found in prayer. If you don’t believe, you will after death, when it is far too late. This must be done while we still live.
