Fewer Still
In the first short article here I mentioned that few follow politics other than what makes them happy, or angry, or sad on the news. Myself, I look at politics as a necessary evil that can sometimes be outstandingly good and, other times, be horribly destructive. From the American Constitution, good, to the Nazis’ in Germany or Stalin and the communists in the Soviet Union, egregiously horrible. I have lived through the Soviet Union and the destructive nature of that brand of politics. All governments are run by politicians but unless those same politicians are elected by the citizens those politicians tend toward cruelty to the citizens. Especially for citizens that disagree with that cruelty. Stalin killed millions just for those disagreements.
On the other hand, the hand that is the mind, there is the universe and between politics and our universe there is no comparison as concerns indifference or plain murderous uncaring. The universe is not friendly to life, but for this little planet that the politicians and we live on. Were it not for the special circumstances provided by this planet there would be no politicians or governments or citizens. So, why are we here? Why are we the only life forms that have governments in the known universe. Why are we the ones who kill innocents over disagreements?
We have laws in each nation that has ever existed. Every nation that has existed has killed others to be nations standing on their own.
These are what I want to go through here but it will take me a while to uncover the purpose of this website. First, however, I want to explain imperfection, which we know exists but is sometimes denied. Denied by those whose brains make them feel superior to the rest of we who they consider vermin.
Actually, but for a few exceptions, more countries have existed that performed genocide than countries that have not committed genocide. All the way back to Rome and, perhaps, the Mongols and Chinese. Europe isn’t off the hook either and even America can be seen at the edges of that lens. A lens that is objective and shows no emotion. These are called facts not to be honed down or sanded to be smooth but retain their bitter edge and ability to cheat, steal, and lie. To bend truth to look better than what reality demonstrates. No nation which ever existed does not have blood on its hands. Civilization? Please.
