When the Christian faith is denigrated by scholars there is only one way to look at scholars: ignorant. A person can be a genius in math or music or language and still be a pathetic individual. Mental acuity has nothing to do with the bible even though the bible, to be understood, has to be approached with a mind still open. Genius is what a mind closed to goodness usually is. A mind so narrowed that only a few things get passed the wall of genius.

I am not knocking genius or a person being scholarly but when you pigeon hole your thought process you are shutting out God. This is the problem that so many face as it is the humble who will inherit the Earth. Those who look to God for redemption, not mankind. Not the presidents of companies or the leaders of nations or the fabulously wealthy but the poor, the humble. Who did Jesus minister to? The humble, the lepers, the blind, the downtrodden of that ancient society. Jesus was God’s example. So the truth goes, as it is that truth of Jesus that this world runs from like quite foolish rabbits. The truth of the bible that was not written from the minds of men but from the mind of God, the most high, our Creator.

It took me decades to reconcile much of what the bible says. That may be because I was knocked down from my perch above it all over a decade ago. It wasn’t until I had survived twenty-four hours and finally healed that I got it through my thick skull that I had been a rabbit, a fool, and totally missed the lessons that I thought I had learned.

Oh, I learned lessons all right, the lessons of being a part of this world and all its wonderful, material goods. I was humbled by my own ignorant ego and stupidity. Deflated, to say the least. I had taken the world as my savior and fallen off the edge of reality. There is only one way to reach the promised dimension, not land, and that is the dimension of love and truth. There is no truth in our world because ours is a terribly imperfect world. Even our history tell us this, if our minds are open to God.

Wars and rumors of wars describe the end times. A godless generation of self indulgence, showing no love. Sounds familiar does it not?
