Change

Mine has been a long, sometimes painful, sometimes ludicrous life. When my life turned toward stability is when I finally understood that there was a plan.The plan is not of our making, the plan is of God’s making and it is an inexorable truth that God’s plan is the only plan. His change is the only change, His will is the only will. All that mankind can do is either thrust at windmills or start to understand that mankind is powerless to change. The truth is simple: if mankind could change he would have long ago. It is rather like the nose on your face isn’t it?

Many are the examples of mankind saying that if only this, that or the other were stable or even true, we would live in peace. Peace? We do not even know what peace is. From battles of one on one to many against the few tribulation is part and parcel of a truth that is so apparent it is laughable to resist. We have no power to change. Not one ounce in stone weight of power to change.

The bible is full of sage advice and it isn’t advice that once worked or did not work. It is the expression of the infinite that the bible speaks of and this is the reason that science is, at least on the part of some scientists, a joke. These people understand science but not the foundations of the eternal. Even the words of eternal and infinite have no true definition. Instead they have a definition of convenience. There is no mathematical formula that comes close to what those two words actually represent. That is Gods territory, not ours. That is the difference the bible tries to lay out for us in overly simplified terms and statements. As complex as the bible seems it is so simple a book that even the most humble minds can understand it. It is a fallacy for science to attempt to define what God is or is not. God seeks out the meek, the powerless, the uneducated and the poor as His children. The proud haven’t much chance with God. The intellectuals He admonishes to humble themselves in His countenance.

It is you and I whom He seeks out. We who have little but recognize that there is more to our lives than worldly pursuits. Much more. So, let us bow to our creator and pray for His forgiveness for our egregious sins of pride and avarice. Our thoughts of superiority when we all are bound to death. The ludicrous pride we hold in earthly glory. We are dust and to dust we shall a return while God has no beginning and God has no end. God sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins. Believe this and you start to live. Deny this and sign your own death warrant.
